Award-winning architecture, timeless design, natural materials: the new LAGOM construction project in Herrsching am Ammersee has created a neighborhood offering a high quality of life based on the Scandinavian model. EHRET folding sliding shutters add a special touch to the stylish wooden facades of the single-family and multi-family homes.
Lagom comes from Swedish and means “just right.” The word stands for balance and consensus. It describes an attitude toward life characterized by balance, mindfulness, and serenity.
Inspired by this worldview, the project developers at Bauwerk Capital GmbH & Co. KG and the architectural firm lynx architecture have realized the LAGOM project: 36 condominiums, 17 townhouses, four duplexes, and five single-family homes, only about 100 meters from the idyllic Ammersee lake. EHRET: Appearance and function – perfectly combined
Water and forest provided the decisive inspiration for the design and choice of materials. Wooden slats are a stylistic element that runs across all facades. Large glass windows offer unobstructed views of nature and allow light into the living spaces. Lynx architecture wanted to integrate a foldable sun protection system into this facade concept. With innovative technology and expertise from EHRET, this idea was successfully implemented, from the start of the project planning to final acceptance. 468 EHRET folding sliding shutters are used in the LAGOM new construction project: two-part folding sliding shutters made of rough-sawn wooden slats – a welded custom-made product consisting of filigree angle frames in combination with the rail-guided EFSL folding sliding fitting. When closed, the EHRET folding sliding shutters form a harmonious whole with the vertical lines of the facades. To achieve this, the arrangement of all components and the division of the wooden slat filling were adapted in detail to the planned joint pattern. To demonstrate their function and visual effect, a functional sample element was attached to a sample facade. The millimeter-precise fitting of the elements into a wooden frame provided by the customer and the close cooperation with the window and facade manufacturer were further factors for success and a matter of course for EHRET.
