Just outside Dinkelsbühl, the 4-star superior Hotel Meiser welcomes its discerning guests. Matthias Weinrich from Crailsheim and Stefan File and Markus Rettenbacher from ZOM Architektur in Austria were responsible for the architecture. As a design hotel, the building is instantly recognizable by its façade – and its EHRET sun protection.

An essential part of the design was sliding shutters with twisted slats – a construction developed specifically by EHRET that was also extremely economical to produce. The result: efficient shading with good visibility, a visually appealing and enhanced façade.

EHRET aluminum sliding shutters are available with a wide variety of infills. Special sashes with twisted slats, as seen at Hotel Meiser, are also possible. The entire structure, including the frames made of rectangular aluminum tubing, was finished in a rust effect, patina brown. The cover panel completely conceals the rails, carriages, and drives. The corresponding support profile is mounted directly on the facade structure. The sliding shutters are gently moved and stopped by a Voletronic electric drive.
