Unterengstringen in the Zurich region is a small community with 3,900 residents and many single-family homes. The Wechselächer project has created 27 beautiful and spacious rental apartments here, each with either a roof terrace, an upstairs loggia, or a garden seating area.

EHRET sliding shutters with a perforated pattern provide protection from wind, sun, and prying eyes, casting beautiful shadows and lending the ensemble an oriental touch. Walter Maio drew inspiration for this design from Far Eastern atrium houses, which have rooms that open up to the sky.
