  • 2018: 50th anniversary
  • 2012: Development of the commercial property business. Support for architects in planning and implementation on site.
  • 2013: Manuel Meier becomes the new CEO of EHRET GmbH. Market launch of MoveOn electric folding sliding shutters.
  • 2014: Concept of sliding shutters without visible guides (GLIT). Presentation at Swissbau in Basel. EHRET wins the innovation award at Equip’Baie in Paris with GLIT.
  • 2015: New production facilities (laser cutting, ISO models) to meet increasing customer demands. Winner of the innovation award and the special prize for design at R+T 2015 in Stuttgart.
  • 2016: EHRET receives important certifications: QUALIDECO and ISO 50001 energy management. EHRET’s burglary protection is RC2 tested (EN 1627).
  • 2017: Eberhard Schopferer becomes CEO of EHRET GmbH. Manuel Meier moves to the Schenker Storen Group as CSO. Investment in a new packaging plant and a modern sawing center.

The family-owned company EHRET GmbH becomes part of Schenker Storen AG – the number one in the Swiss sun and weather protection market. The company will continue to operate under the name EHRET GmbH in Mahlberg and will be further expanded.

  • 2001: Acquisition of a production building with adjoining rooms covering an area of 2,600 m². The company now employs 200 people.
  • 2002: Opening of the EHRET showroom.
  • 2003: Construction of a new production center with an area of 6,700 m².
  • 2004: Opening of the EHRET training center for training specialist dealers.
  • 2007: Commissioning of the new raw materials warehouse with an area of 4,000 m².
  • 2008: Over 200 employees celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary. Commissioning of an additional production building for the manufacture of insulation models, sliding and folding shutters, and special designs.
  • 1990: Commissioning of the second automatic powder coating plant and purchase of a new hall for use as a raw material and delivery warehouse.
  • 1991: Construction of the new administration building and expansion of the production area to a total of over 9,000 m².
  • 1997: Commissioning of the decoration plant for the production of wood, marble, and granite decorations.
  • 2000: Expansion of the production area through the acquisition of a production building with an area of 2,800 m².

Change of name to EHRET GmbH.

  • 1969: Expansion of production and storage facilities on Freiburger Strasse.
  • 1971: Development and manufacture of aluminum folding shutters. Establishment of in-house tool production and start of wet painting for external customers.
  • 1973: Josef Betz leaves the company and Bernd Ehret continues to run the company alone.
  • 1976: Acquisition of a powder coating plant for small parts such as fittings.
  • 1978: Expansion of production and administration and construction of a new office and production building in Mahlberg/Orschweier.
  • 1984: Construction of Plant II and commissioning of the automatic powder coating plant.

Ehret & Betz GmbH is founded by Bernd Ehret and Josef Betz.
