Insulated window shutters

with innovative design

The sandwich construction, which consists of highly insulating rigid polystyrene foam enclosed by two aluminium panels, provides excellent insulation.

Regardless of whether the model is a closed window shutter in a simple or special shape, with a slat design, the insulating models guarantee thermal comfort throughout the day and at any season of the year.

Functionality and concept

of insulated window shutters

In winter, window panes cool down and then warm up in the summer. This influences the temperature inside your home. With insulating window shutters, the indoor temperature can be regulated without incurring any additional operating costs. If you are renovating or fitting a new build – less loss of energy means you get to save more energy.

Window shutters insulated against cold

Insulated shutters reflect the cold. In addition to this, the warm air between the ISO window shutter and the window is kept at a stable temperature, therefore no large flow of heat due to winds can take place. The room temperature can be kept constant without requiring additional energy.

Cold air passes almost straight through to the window. The pane cools down considerably and draws warmth from the room. Due to the very cold surface of the window, the room gets uncomfortably cold. Additional energy is needed to keep the room temperature constant.

Window shutters insulated against heat

Insulated shutters reflect the heat. A cool cushion of air is created between the shutter and the window, therefore the increase in temperature of the window panes is only minimal. The room temperature can be kept constant without requiring additional energy.

When shutters are not insulated, heat passes almost unabated, straight through to the window. This penetrates inside and increases the temperature of the room. In order to keep the temperature of the room low, additional energy is needed, for example via an air conditioning system.

Certified quality

for heat-insulated window shutters

The insulating models have been tested by the independent ift Rosenheim institute (in Germany) for additional resistance to heat passage in accordance with European standards. For this application, EHRET uses installation elements that do not form thermal bridges and guarantee a force-fit connection. The excellent values can be seen in the test reports which serve as proof of the energy performance.
